well, catoiler, you are there on-site, so that could well be true... if it is, that is about typical of corporate America. I trust most big businesses about as far as I can throw their storage tanks and/or vehicle assembly line. However, that is NOT what is supposed to happen. The on-highway stuff is SUPPOSED to go through an extra "hydro-cracking" process that the red diesel doesn't... of course the primary purpose of the red dye and the hidden chemical tracer is the TAXES. Only a bunch of jackasses at a vehicle dealership or a company looking for any excuse to deny warranty coverage would use the excuse of red diesel as a cause of fuel system problems... Case-IH tractors with 5. 9, 8. 3, 11. 0, and 15. 0L Cummins engines burn it everyday, all day with no problems. How could the same diesel in roughly the same engine in a pickup create a problem?

Drag Racer: reviewed your link and... I learned something today! I was misinformed about the effect of sulfur on particulates. (because off-highway currently is not as strict as on-highway, so not as big an issue. . no catalytics on tractors. ) Anyways, thanks for learnin' me somethin' today! Oo. :)
