I'm in Houston! I need a GOOD dealership ASAP!!! Airbag light!!!

Well I made it in from NC. But just when i was entering TX, the airbag light started to flicker, now its on. I need a dealership and FAST! I've only got tomorrow before I'm headed up to Witchia Falls (SP) and won't have a chance to get it done then.

Surely the light can't be to big of a problem. My air bag light has been on since I bought the truck in 97'. I haven't had any problems related to the light. My air bag may not be working properly but I really don't care for them any way. I'm just to stuborn to let the monkeys at the dealer work on it. Sorry I can't suggest a dealer... . just wanted to let you know that your not the only one with this problem.

Its probably your clock spring,and there is a recall on this, I'd wait till you get home and let your local dealer take care of it.

I live outside of Houston and have been looking for over 2 years for a "good", even a "decent" dealer . . . have yet to find one!



Sorry I can't help, but I would not recommend ANY dealer in the Houston area.



I've heard Lawrence Marshall in Hempstead is good. And also the dealership in Madisonville (can't remember the name).

I believe the one in Madisonville is Henson Motors. Lots of guys like them,. I've never personally dealt with them so I can't tell you anything about them.

When my Airbag light came on, it was the Airbag Control Module. However, there is a six year difference between our trucks.



According to Fritz's Dealer Survey, the only trusted dealer in Houston (and I mean the only one) is Wiesner Dodge - Tomball (Houston), TX.

My concern with the light is I don't know what it means, does it mean its armed or something? (I know they are always armed when on) but could it short out. I may have to have the "Monkeys" take a look at it. As far as dealerships at home, it will be 4 months before I leave texas, and the JERKS at home, I cant stand them.

I would also suggest Wiesner Dodge in Tomball - on Texas 249 about 7-8 miles north of Beltway 8/Sam Houston Tollway. Ask for Butch Fayle (Service Advisor) and tell him that Rusty Creekmore referred you. These guys aren't perfect, but they at least try and seem to care about customer satisfaction. We've bought our last two vehicles there and have used them for service since 1997.

Don't Go to Marshall. Since the football hero took over, they are only interested in your money. Jackie left and went to Josh Marshall. Now I go to Brenham. They replaced my steering gear and pittman arm with no hassle. Tried to trade with Henson. Nice folks, but no deal. Everyone out in the hempstead area is trading with Josh. I will probably go there at 500K. My nickle's worth (inflation you know)
