Not sure where your coming from here :confused:our rigs don't have locking hubs they are live front ends splined solid all the time nothing locks or unlocks in the hub area but to do the conversion just to buy the kits are 1500-2500 bucks depending on which company you go with plus labor if you don't do it yourself.
 
The parts and labor costs for the job will take longer to recoup in the miniscule milage savings you may get over the years..... Andy
 
His trucks have a CAD front axle which can be a problem. Repairing it is not that expensive so I agree with the above. I really like my CAD because it is shift on the fly. I can engage the front axle and 4 wheel drive without having to get out in the cold and wet to do it. There would be very little if any difference in mileage with manual locking hubs vs the CAD setup. Not worth the cost for most people.
