How many Fords have gone 1 million miles without a engine rebuild?? Life expectency on the Ford 6. 0 has been lowered to 150,000 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could care less if my dodge cummins can go 1 million miles. Heck, I usually sell my trucks the minute I see wear on the seat or carpets. If I get a door ding, I trade the thing in on the spot.
I can't imagine how grungy the truck would be after that many miles. Door hinges, seats, carpet, plastic fascia's all would be shot to say the least. Who says 150k max for the fords? Some of you seem to get so emotional about rumored fairy tails that you actually start believing them. All three have had injector problems with the new common rail systems.
Pintos? Yep, they were somewhat unsafe, in certain conditions, I had 2 and they were great cars back then. Vegas and the aluminum motors? Now that was a mistake. How about the chevy trucks in the 80's with the side mounted gas tanks that blew upon impact. Or how about the Dodge Chargers in the early 80's? I supposed you failed to remember the fuel tank problems with those cars? How about the early Cummins and the head gasket problems? I remember that pretty well.
Or how about Chrysler going BK in the early 80's and it wasn't until the feds bailed them out? How does Chrysler reward the US? They move many operations to Canada and Mexico for cheaper labor. That's nice. Take from the taxpayers and then move across country lines for cheap labor.
Point being, I've got a chevy and dodge, both new, both nice. Had a ford for a while, it was nice too. Each had their own set of problems, each had good points. Comments like "fords are crap" is a very stupid statement that is unsupported, biased and emotional.
