Cable Modems?

Anyone see the movie "Bourne identidy"?

I too am a current and future customer SBC. I have never seen customer service like that from SBC. Peter was a big help with my installation. It is a shame that others can't take a stand like Peter does (Dodge & Cummins KDP). Peter has gained so much more in loyalty and support than the price of a clutch. My hats off to you Peter you are awesome. :)

What everyone else said!! Some day when I have the $$$ I will be installing a SBC without a doubt. My stock clutch has slipped slightly a few times.

Good guys are good guys no matter if they are vendors or not !!... even better when they are vendors...

there are a lot of them out there, some no longer with us but that is another story. we tend to get hung up on the bad ones. .

about time we could be positive here. . good to know Peter and have him around !!

Partial Update.

I don't know how to thank Peter enough - my new clutch turned up at my house the other day. I can only wish SBC and Peter the very best wishes - your ethics and generousity are astounding in a world where all too often I encounter the money hungry, unscrupulous, don't care if if they ever see you again retailers.

I spoke to my buddy the mechanic, he found the clutch and it's definitely been in the fire. The pilot guide and kevlar bush are vapourized and he says the plate has been toasted.

Peter, we haven't heard from the insurance company yet but I will send you back the "smoked" components so you can check them out.

Once again, many thanks for the beyond awesome support.

Hey Peter when Kiwi sends the "burnt clutch" to you this will give your team of pro's a special project  If the team can make this clutch into a non-smoker than you will really be on to something:-laf :-laf :-laf ;) :D ;)

You da man, Peter!

What goes around, comes around. You reap what you sew. Peter, should you and your team ever require anything, we, the TDR membership will come to your aid in abundance! Thanks for giving me the 'warm & fuzzies'. Nice to know that there's still some kind folks out there!

Brian

When my clutch goes bye-bye I have no doubt where to get the new one! This certainly dissolves all that bashing that was posted a few months back.

You, Peter, are what business is all about! GOOD JOB!

Mike

When I read in the past about how Peter takes care of his customers, I had no doubt about whos clutch to buy. And its been a great clutch. A Con-O holding 400 HP. Now, everytime I'm in a truck shop I ask them what kind of clutches they use and they get one hell of a sales pitch for South Bend Clutches. Now, if I can just get Peter to build one for my N 14.

Michael

Southbend and Peter are really great. The support offered to buyers of their products is second to none. Besides their clutches work awsome.

Pete goes way way beyond the call of duty with his customers. This is another example of his generosity, and loyalty to his customers. While i do have an auto,I have friends with 6 speeds, that are bombing,I know where every clutch will come from... SBC. excellent customer service.

All I can say is wow. Peter, you go above and beyond.

This is a prime example of how important word of mouth is to a vendor. I counted at least 5 people that specifically said their clutch will be a SBC unit. That is just good business sense - cost of a clutch for Kiwi is minimal and SBC has 5 new customers. Not saying Peter's offer was motivated by money just making an observation. Also, I suspect SBC will have 2 additional customers when the time comes - based on Peter's customer attention & product - my dad's '96 & my '00.

Peter, my hats off to you.

Kiwi - sorry to hear about the fire.

What a great philosophy, trust people until you have a reason to distrust them. There are some who will step on anyone to get themselves ahead and this limits the damage they can do without treating everyone else poorly.

Outstanding policy SBC!!!

Peter - when you decide to quit giving clutches away and start making a living at it, let me know when you're able to move out of that old trailerhouse across the street from your shop, so I can come help you move :D Have you re-decorated your office yet?

I also must ad my sincere compliments to Peter and South Bend Clutch. I talked with him a while on the phone before I made my clutch decision last year. Peter didn't know me from Joe down the road, and he not only talked about the pros and cons of his clutches (only con is they aren't intended for massive sled pulling :D), he also talked about other similar clutches that were out there at the time. He wanted me to be fully informed as to what my choices were, and why one particular product may, or may not be best suited to my individual needs.

I went ahead and bought his Con FE clutch for my truck, have put around 30,000 miles on it to date, and have had exactly ZERO problems of any kind with it. It has done everything I have ever asked of it.

I will not hesitate one second to fully recommend his products to any diesel driver, as long as Peter offers a product that is intended for that person's needs.

Peter, you make us all proud, not only as customers, but also as fellow TDR members and diesel truck owners. And finally, as fellow Americans (not to offend our International members ;))

Regards,

Tom
