looking for someone to shoot the breeze with?

January 11, 2004-RMTDR Event!!

Well everybody it is completely official. Another publishing company has been recruiting me for the past 3 months and we have finally agreed on an opportunity for me. Unfortunately, this position requires relocation to the Ohio area, Cincinnati to be exact. I waited to post this until it became completely official and as of today it is. Debi and I move the 27th of this month and I begin my new position January 2nd. I thought long and hard about it and at this point in my career I would be crazy to pass it up, going from a GM to VP. What makes it tough as well is the RMTDR and the responsibilities I took over just over 4 months ago I will have to pass on. I am in search of someone willing to take on the responsibility, until then I will do what I can via email and phone from Ohio to setup more cool events for you guys.

As it sits whomever would like to step in probably has a simple 1st 3-4 months as we have a wrench day finalized in January. A major event at ATS in Febuary and a tentative dyno day/fundraiser/charity day in March. I'll miss hanging out with all the great local members but am sure I will be back as my family is here and will try and hook up with you all at a local event. Thanks for all your support guys!

Sincerely,

Jeff Randol

Jeff:

Congratulations on the new position. Sorry to see you go but good for you. Nothing like adding a little stress to the holidays trying to move at the same time. Sounds like it will be worth it though. Good luck and don't forget about us and by the way now you will become one of them thar flatlanders.

Good luck Jeff,

I was looking forward to meeting you among many others one of these days. Thanks for your hard work putting together the upcoming events. Oh, well, sounds like you have a great opportunity, except moving away from the mountains. Keep in touch. Tim.

I will be working for Network Communications. They do the digest size Real Estate books and other books like the Apartment Guide and many other very succesful publications. I will be running the Real Estate books.

Thanks for all the kind words everybody. Its a big move for us for sure! Im sure I'll get back here and go to events and such with the RMTDR. You guys will have to come out there, you have a place to stay and we can go SLED PULLIN!! Oo.

Jeff, I hate to see you leaving. You've done good for the short time heading things up. Are you getting that transmission done before you hit the flat lands??? I think you better as I can see you tearing it up otherwise. All that HP and the low flat lands, that thing outta haul and I don't think it will take it unless you get the transmission. Been great to know ya and best of luck in your future. I hope things work out for you. Let me know when you are in town and we'll get together.

Keep On TRUCKIN in your Cummins!!!

Thanks Mike! Yep, the truck goes in Thursday to have the work done. I am installing a remote mount pacbrake as well while its being done. I told Clint I want the beefiest transmission you have ever dreamed of building, its sled pullin time!! :D I will definetely be back from time to time and I'll get ahold of you guys, maybe a trip to hooters or something like that will be in order then.

Hope you are getting a Ryder truck or something 'cause I don't think you have the HP to climb some of the hills out east, especially with a load. :D :D  Moving out there will be like a free BOMB since you will lower your elevation and get out of the clouds like here in Colorado. Just think how the turbo will sing.

Best of luck to you in your move and career. Moving sucks and during the holidays doesn't make it any easier. I just moved myself so I feel your pain, but I only moved 8 miles. At least you get a longer rest.

So, are you driving the Cummins or having it hauled? :D

Yeah were getting a Ryder truck. I can already imagine the sound of that turbo rollin, sing..... more like scream :D I remember you saying you were getting ready to build a new place, what area did you move to? Congrats on the home purchase!

Oh yeah, the Cummins is driving out, as a matter of fact it gets to pull my wifes Explorer on a flatbed!! What do you all think it'll weigh? 02 Explorer 4 door 4x4 with a Rental trailer, probably aluminum my guess.

I agree, you need to call my wife and let her know that. Maybe I could get some twins installed and some Mach 6's prior to going out there. C'mon Justin, help out a fellow bombaholic! :D

Thanks Barry! Stress what stress? I dang ole reckon I'll be one of them thar flatlanders pretty soon. :D Its kinda funny, I checked out their local ski areas online and talked to some local skiers when I was there last week. Looks like the ski bum in me will be resorting to 400 vertical feet per run  I have skiing buddies that nearly get that vertical cliff jumping! Looks like I'll be the terrain park master (skiing of course, none of that dark side riding) :D

Soooooo... ... . who would like to take over and head up the RMTDR? Its really pretty simple once you have the ball rollin. Takers???

Thank goodness you are getting a Ryder truck, most of them have good ole T444E V-8 diesels!! Maybe you should put the Ryder on the trailer and pull it and drive the explorer. I'm sure it would be faster!:D :D :D

We did build a new home east of Parker and are loving it. Man, I wish I wasn't so busy this week or I would bring you a load of boxes for you to pack up. I've moved 3 times in the past 6 years so I have an ample supply of boxes.

Best of luck to you and I'll cross my fingers for you that the weather stays good for your road trip. ;)

Actually we chickened out, the stress is there and we are busy so we hired a moving company to do the move. All we are doing is driving the truck out there with the Exploder on a trailer behind it so the CTD still gets to stretch its legs and do a little weight lifting. Oo. Oo.

hey u should be settled down by the 28th of FEB u should come to INDY for the dyno day thats going on!! sounds like its going to be huge!!! would like to meet ya and maybe take a ride in ur beast!! :D Andy

I saw that on your kydtr site!! I am going to give it a shot for sure. Would like to give a sled pull a try sometime too out there, never done that before. Is there a problem with that site? I tried to register tonight and it wouldnt let me.

Sad to see you leave Jeff, thanks for all your help with the RMTDR and personally helping me with all my BC FMS questions. Good luck to you and the family, and of course with your truck. Hope to meet up with you when you visit!
