LOL - HA! I'm still laughing. hehehe
Diesel Dan - My Avatar fits me to a tee. . I'm always getting punched down, but I bounce right back.
Ok. . you guys have waited long enough. .
Wednesday night, Johnboy masqueraded as a prominent (un-named) vendor who has been at the center of some controversy in the past. Johnboy was good at the task and made us believe that he was really who he said he was. He had all the right answers to our questions, demands and suggestions.
For one and a half hours he kept it up. As more guys logged on to chat, we each were at first skeptical, but Johnboy managed to convince us that he was really who he claimed to be. Not only did he convince us of his authenticity, but he also managed to gain our respect for the person that he said he was to the point that we began making product, service recommendations and invitations to our events. That is until MGM signed on, about half way through the ordeal. True to form, MGM jumped right in there with challenges and insults, while we tried to hush him up and made excuses for him.
I stayed up a half hour past my bedtime so I wouldn't miss the rare event and after all of our concern for MGM's comments and attacks, Johnboy finally revealed his true identity and I fell off my chair laughing.
There have been masquerades in our chat room in the past, but they have never been this good. Usually the perpetrators loose their believability quickly and we have a brief laugh, but never anything as good as this.
Thanks Johnboy (and MGM) for the a great time on Wednesday.
