Deramaxx Pills

I got rescued by the fire department today :(

I’m stymied! I’ve had my ’94 Chevy 1500 Silverado 4X2 for sale and not one soul has gotten interested enough to drive it. Its appearance is as sharp as any in town. No rust or damage. Interior is A1. Can’t figure why no one is curious enough about a high mileage truck to see how it drives, even though they’re not really interested to buy it (this is 4X4 country so that could be some of the problem). It is teal and silver with gray cloth interior (bench seat). Has all the Silverado stuff—stereo/cassette, tilt, AT, strong 5. 7 gas engine, eight foot bed with liner, diamond plate running boards and rail caps, alloy wheels, very good Michelins, receiver hitch, Tekonsha Voyager brake controller (wired for controller, but controller is not installed). From the way it looks and drives you’d NEVER believe the miles on it!

Reason for selling: When I got my 34 ft. triple axle Airstream I needed more ponies to pull it so I bought my Cummins powered Ram.

Anybody out there know of someone who is not afraid of miles and would like to make a good buy? I’ll sell it for $5650. I could probably be talked into delivering it under some circumstances.

I’ve placed an ad in the TDR classifieds so you can check it out.

Two reasons,

1) not a 4x4, Chevy gassers you just about have to give away, if not 4x4.

2) any body that would want something that cheap, does not have the cash, and the banks won't finance anything that old.

for me, it is missing the one thing all chevy trucks require for me to be able to drive it, and Extended cab, otherwise I do not fit in the truck

Don't forget this is a bad time of year to sell anything. Cars, quads, whatever; Everybody is generally trying to conserve money in the holiday season. Usually around spring and summer people tend to spend their money more freely (and they have some). I have found this to be true where I live at least.

Bring it down here

And I'll sell it for you. Probably get more $ for it here as well.

Aside from that, with the economy the way it is, zero percent on new stuff and all, used cars just don't have the appeal they ought to.

I know the feeling, having a first class piece of equipment to sell and nobody even looks, much less offering a reasonable amount.

Good lesson in patience.

I have one thing to say, Don't down the TBI setup, no flame intended just stating my experience. I have a 90 chev 2500 with a TBIed 350 and it has almost 400,000 miles on it with no problems, the only major thing done to it was when the radiator cracked. That poor truck has been run out of oil, over heated and over loaded several times and I would not be scared to head out on a long trip with it.

Just one mans opinion.

My last truck was a '91 Chevy 1500 4x4 with 350. It was very reliable and I miss it at times. (except when I have to hook up a good load and pull it)

I would suggest taking it someplace where it doesn't snow and sell it or trade it for a 4x4 and take that back to ID to sell. You might also try ebay.com set your reserve where you have it priced and see what happens. BTW welcome to the TDR and keep in mind I'm not trying to moderate or police, but you can't sell anything in the threads. Good luck with your sale, it sounds like a nice ride.
