Image Insert - I can not get it to work

I have tried to insert images into several posts and have had no luck. I have used the IMG button in the post and all I get is the address of the photo. I checked in my user cp to make sure I had the option to view images turned on ( I turned it off and on again). What is the story, is there a size limit for inserted images?? or am I just PEBCAKing it.

Yes, JR2 - There two size requirements for attached pictures. First, you must downsize the picture to 400x400 pixels, or less (save it as a jpg for best results). After you do that, you need to check the byte size and make sure it is less than 32000 bytes. If you have either of those too big, you will not be allowed to post it.



There are other ways to post a larger picture, if you really need to do it big.

Doc - I am talking about inserting pics with tag. I can attach pics all day but some times the size just does not do justice to the pic. I have some pics in my gallery and wanted ti insert them into the message I was typing. I see others with nice big fat pics and I want to play too... . heheehe Thanks

JR, the way I get around the size limit is to post your pic to your own or another website then link to it.

You can use your Reader's Rigs account to upload images up to 132k in size.

Big White Beast... . has a way of posting ANY size pic..... how do you do it BWB?

Go to the web address where the picture you want to post resides. Once you get the picture up in your browser, right click it and select "properties". Highlight the full address that shows in the properties window, then right click again and select "copy".



Then paste the address between [ img ] and [ /img ] in the forum editor.



This should allow you to post pictures like you want.



Please note that this will not work to post pictures that are loaded in the Readers Rigs department. How about giving us a tip on how to do it from there, Ken.

Doc - I knew there must be somthing funny going on, the only pics I had tired were from the readers rig section... Maybe we need to get the secret code or something ... .
