Archived Imlay City MI anyone?

Anyone in or near Imlay City MI that could put an alternator on my little sisters 2002 GMC Envoy? It died on her along M53 4 miles north of town. She told me the symptoms and Im sure its the alternator. She is gonna call a parts store in the am and see if they have a new one on hand. Anyone with tools and knowledge that wants to make a few bucks she would appreciate it. TIA, Chris

Chris where is Imlay city? I have relatives in Michigan (upper peninsula, Lansing, west side of state by lake Michigan and the Detroit area, the relatives in Detroit area questionable on mechanical ability).

Thanks everyone for the advice and offers to help. She went back today and jump started it and got it back closer to her home at a service station and just decided to take a day off work tomorrow and have them replace the alternator. She was paranoid about leaving her truck on the highway any longer.



Charles, She wrote your number down and she said next time she will just call you and she appreciates the offer to help. I didnt get your number to her before she went and moved it back closer to home today. She is constantly getting screwed by mechanics out there. Last fall a shop quoted her almost 900 to replace an axle shaft on it and all it needed was a new clamp put on a CV joint. I always try to help her out when I can. She lives right off 59 in Rochester Hills. Thanks again everyone, Chris
