I installed a FASS on my 2002 3500 about 6 weeks ago and a new high pressure pump was installed by Dodge at the same time. Fuel pressure has been about 19-20 psi. About a week ago the ground wire from the FASS was inadvertantly removed so the FASS wasn't working for this past week of driving. I didn't pay much attention to the fuel pressure gauge, which was reading 0 psi, because I thought it was a bad wire connection on the gauge. Does anyone think this has hurt the new high pressure pump? I don't notice any significant performance change.

If the pump they installed was still good you didn't hurt anything probably

but if you was running with a bad lift pump with 0 pressure 6 weeks yes.

Thanks for the info Diesel-Dan. I had absolutely no trouble starting the truck for that whole week. When I noticed the BATT ground disconnected, I listened for the sound of the FASS when starting again but I didn't hear it run. I reconnected the ground and started again (no sound of the FASS). I shut off and started a few more times and then heard the FASS.
