Hardware - maybe if we talk about a dedicated ECM. Is the Libby still sporting a PCM in 06?

yes the 06 has a PCM mine is having issues and the ones in europe for the 2.8 CRD are very cheap Might be worth a shot???

Of you can get it programmed with your VIN, maybe.
But like said, it will have a different programming for the engines parameters.
Maybe it works maybe not.
