What a show!
Too hot with rain threatening all day, but we got it in.
Saturdays pull went pretty smooth, 99% of the pullers were on the ball, however, a few notes to newbie pullers:
Be sure to have a 3" clevis to hook with. No hitch balls, no pintles.
Avoid flipping hollow ball mounts, they bend/break.
DHRA rule: 1 driver, 1 truck, 1 class.
If you win the street class, do not ask to pull exhibition with the Mods. We already know how you will do. You will lose.
If you lose the street class, do not ask to pull in the Pro.
In a steeet LEGAL class, do you really think a stack out the hood, is allright?
NOS.
Is a no-no. Do not even come to tech with a tank anywhere near your truck.
If you come to tech with NOS, it will be confiscated, and auctioned off at the end of the pull. The proceeds will go to the tech departments stress relief find.
:-laf
All mod trucks need full blown SFI safety gear, including air cut offs at the rear of vehicle, the sled operator will not pull your truck if he can't shut it down in an emergency.
NO street trucks in mod class, Do not even ask.
Do not pull, if both flags are red.
Do not pull, if both flags are red.
Do not pull, if both flags are red.
I don't want to DQ anyone, but man, that leaves me no choice!!!!
Best thing I heard all day:
" Don't say rain, but full purse will be paid to qualifications winners, if the finals are rained out. "-Dan Scheid.
Funniest rip at my expense, after the finals:
" Did Sled Puller pull in that class?"(Pro) also by Dan Scheid. Thanks Dan. :{
Followed by: "We can fix that for you, heheheh. " I'll bet you can$!
Special thanks to all of Scheids crew, and the DHRA crew, excellent help.
Oh yea, I bet their will be a rule at that dragstrip, not to let Andy Schureck do burnouts no more.
Oo. :--)
