Do any of the 94-97 12 valvers that switched to a McCleod clutch have a flywheel sitting around collecting dust? I know I'm kinda doing this at the last minute, but my truck needs a clutch and I'm going on vacation in two and a half weeks. During the next two weeks I only have one day where I can do a clutch install and would like to have a flywheel ready to go because I'm doing this at night (too late at night for machine shop).
If you need a flywheel back because you're saving the old stock clutch,I can send you the one I'm taking out and machine it for you when I'm done.

-Mike

I have one if you need it, but hopefully someone who lives closer to you will volunteer. Email me if no one else comes forward.

Man, you guys did such a great job helping Mike out, maybe you could give me a hand.

Piers has a clutch heading my way and I'd also like to have a resurfaced flywheel ready go in when I do the job. I will gladly pay for the wheel and shipping. Plus, I'll send my old one to you when I get it out if you'd like.

Post here or just shoot me and e-mail -- email address removed --

This sounds like a start for a flywheel ship party. I also will be doing a clutch(when I not sure right now), and it would be nice to have the flywheel ready to go instead of being at the mercy of a machine shop.

Could I get on the list for a flywheel?? I too would have the old flywheel machined and ship it to the next person...

Thanks

Rick

Wow, this is an old thread gitchesum had found. I got a few PM's last night from folks thinking I blew up my SBC clutch. I did not toast my clutch. If you look at the date you'll see my post is from over a year ago when I first was putting it in. Forrest, once again thank you!

-Mike

Sorry about that Mike.

I did a search on flywheels and it came up. Didn't even notice the date. Figured I recycle it instead of starting a new one.

Good to hear your SouthBend is hummin right along cause that's what is on the way

Curtis,

The flywheel that Forrest has is my old one, and I believe I machined it before I gave it back to him, so it should be ready to go.

Too Cool!!:D :D Oo.

Dad know a machine shop that has a machine that'll put on a perfectly flat surface. I'll get my old one done and send it to who needs it first.

Hey gitchesum, It's boxed up, but I want to make sure I've got your addrs. I know you sent it & I read it, but I don't know if I put it away safely.

How bout e-mailing it to:

If someone wants to rotate this thru your truck, have at it. If gitchesum doesn't mind forwarding it around the country that is. :) Last one, just ship it back to me. ;)
