A clay bar is used to remove contaminants from paint. You can get them from paint jobbers, or from auto parts stores. It should come in a kit that includes a lubricant. Squirt the lubricant on the contaminat, like tree sap, rub the clay bar over it, the the clay will remove the contaminant. You might be able to find something regarding them on meguiars web site.

you can use your clay bar with soapy water also. you can:

wash the truck with dawn to remove all previous wax

clay bar the truck with soapy car wash

wash the truck with a good quality car wash

then apply your wax /polish of your choice

I preferZaino . you can order online and you can call Sal Zaino to discuss his products.

he sells a complete car care kit including car wash with directions for use. it goes on thin and it LASTS but alittle bit pricey(@ 70) to some people.

the reason I said to use Dawn above is because some articles suggest clay bars remove wax you already have so use the dawn to remove all wax and start from scratch. Future clay bar uses you should be able to just wax/polish after you do it but IMO I initially would start with a wax free surface then build from there

If you have never "clayed" your diesel beast you have never seen how good it can look! The process consists of spraying a little surface lubricant over a 2 ft Sqare area at a time and working the clay bar (About as big as a thin pack of smokes) over the area in a front to back motion. You can easily feel this stuff shearing off or lifting the crud out of your paint. After the area feels uniformly smooth towel off the lubricant to inspect the surface. Oops, missed a little speck here... just spray and work the clay on it until it's gone.

Do the whole truck and then lay down a nice thin coat of carnuba paste wax (which buffs off easy because the surface is so clean and smooth) and MAN ALIVE does your beast look good!!

I have never seen anything as effective as this stuff in my life for lifting those millions of tiny black or rust specks out of the pores in the paint. It is awsome!!!

I have used the Mother's Kit in one box in the past.

Plan for about three hours to have time for a good workout and a couple of beers but you will NOT be disapointed with the finished results. Oo.
