Just wondering if any one has tried this? can the edge ez be changed on the fly? I was thinking of making a new cover with the connections built into it and running the wires into the cab with a 3 pole DIL switch to change the settings.

I have the EZ 600 and have switch it on the fly with no prob yet. Mine came with the three possition switch to mount in the cab.

how does the power pup and EZ work together?

worth the $$$ ?

Why don't you wait for the newest "BOX" from Edge?

Here is information on the latest from Edge.

At the 2004 SEMA show, Edge Products won the Best New Product award in the Van/Pickup/SUV category for the company's second-generation Attitude (A2) diesel monitor/controller/information center. This innovative unit includes all of the features of the company's exiting Attitude: displaying powertrain functions such as turbo boost, EGT and auto-trans slippage in addition to allowing the driver to switch among the Edge Juice Engine Module's five power modes to add up to 125 more horsepower.

But the A2 goes quantum leaps above and beyond the first-generation model. The larger, color LCD monitor now displays virtual gauges, GPS navigational mapping and the view from a wireless backup camera. As an added bonus, the A2 even plays MP3 audio.

Gauge-related information includes actual speed (corrected for non-stock tire diameters), percentage of auto trans slippage, engine rpm, turbo boost level, engine temp, throttle percentage, barometric pressure and Juice power mode. The Edge A2 also captures 0-60 and 1/4-mile times. GPS features include voice navigation, rerouting capability, ETA and points of interest. The A2's wireless backup camera feature is perhaps the system's biggest convenience. The weatherproof camera can be mounted on the back of the vehicle to ease trailer coupling, at the back of the trailer for backing safety or even in the rear seats to monitor children. Finally, the A2 also plays your favorite MP3 audio files.

This cutting-edge diesel performance/convenience/entertainment product is scheduled to ship in Spring 2005. Pricing will be finalized at that time. Edge Products also manufactures plug-in modules, programmers, and in-cab controllers for popular late-model domestic diesel trucks, vans and motorhomes. For more information, please contact Edge Products Inc. , Dept. __, 1080 S. Depot Dr. , Ogden, UT 84404, 888-360-3343, 801-476-3343, fax 801-476-3348, www.edgeproducts.com.

I really would like my EZ to be in cab adjustable also, all you would need is a knob switch like the 6-gun is (only need four settings)... place a common wire in one side and then the different setting wires on the other ends... 4 wires?? (phone line type set up???)... I like my EZ alot and this would be icing on the cake to be able to run the lower settings all day and see if mileage could be increased but still switch it up if needed :-laf or when running from the angry :-{} wife...

I would say the first thing would be to call edge and ask if you could change the jumpers when the truck is running... if they say yes then it would be VERY do-able... but if they say no, then you will have some electrical complications to deal with... maybe some way to slow the signal down so that the computer does get tripped up be having a split second of "blank" reading...

You also need to find out if the common is on the top or the bottom jumper poles so you don't wire up backwards... .

Now what would be really nice is if Edge made us a little retro fit kit end and knob to put this in the truck... Sure would be a nice little kit, Knob, little wire bundle, and screw on end/plug that would take all this work out and probably make alot of people happy... .

I have been thinking about trying something like this foe a while, but haven't taken the time to figure out the pattern of the jumper poles (is top or bottom set of poles common)...
