In cab auto dimming rear view mirror

Mine light comes on when I push the button, but how do I know its doing anything? Should I see the mirror change the lights behind me to darker? how fast does it change? I don't have a topper, just the factory tinted glass.



for all I can tell, I got a fancy button that turns on a fancy light, and thats all!

There's a button on the bottom of the mirror, when it is pushed up, a light comes on to tell you its on. If you have a topper on, your probably not getting enough light to make it function.

It changes slowly so its hard to see a difference but you will notice the lights dont bother you as much. Not as big a difference as the regular manual dim mirror.

My mirror will turn green when light hits it.

I put an overhead dash in and it blocked the sencer that was on the top and I was able to spin the mirror over so the sencer is now on the bottom and it works better then it did before.

May be worth a try.

Auto Dimming Mirror

I'll trade too. I do not like it. It doesn't get dark enough. I like the manual kind. I catch myself reaching for that little flick lever all the time cause it doesn't get dark enough. I wish you could adjust them. You can really make them dim it you strick a lighter in front of it. Might be a way to check it! My goes real green with the lighter.



I think I'll try the upside down suggestion. I think on mine with my height the sensor is behind the overhead computer to much to work well.
