Got my Di Pricol mechanical fuel pressure gauge installed. Put it in a VDO meter Cup and bolted the Cup to the side of the bottom A-Pillar gauge. Fits kind of beside the mirror knob and above the head light switch, in a dead space. I put my tapped bango bolt in the bottom of the filter and mounted the isolator on the side of the master cylinder with a bracket I made and two host clamps. I am going to redo the hose from the filter to the isolator tomorrow and add a 45 or 90 degree street elbow on the bottom of the bango, because the hose is rubbing against the motor mount and steering shaft. 14lbs at idle, 11 to 12 cruising at 55, and 6 to 7 at WOT, which is what my test gauge read.

I did notice that at idle the pressure will go up and down a bit with the grid heaters cycling.

Also need dimmer bulbs.

Next is to trackle the Exhaust brake that is setting in the garage saying me next, me next.

SORRY, this should have been in 2nd Gen area.

Hey Snow Kind how bout some pics???

Ok, I will give it a try. Broke the transmission temp sender switch, so there is a hole waiting for the new switch I bought last night. SNOKING

Isolator. FYI, slid a piece of black 1/4 drip system sprinkler plasic tubing over the white meter tubing to protect it. SNOKING

Looks good Snow King... I wonder if I could get one of those to fit in my ash tray some how... anybody know? Was the install fairly simple?

You need special bulbs for them to work with the dimmer????

Well, I did NOT hook the the meter lights to the dash dimmer. I put dimmer blubs in the others and have a micro switch to kill them if I want them off at night. They do come on with the head light switch.

I was looking to do that myself, but a hole has to be cut in the back for the fitting to stick through. Problem is, the spring is in the way, and I haven't figured out a way around that yet. You could take the spring out, but the tray wouldn't drop down on it's own.

Well between painting the cup and such, I have 3 or 4 hours in the installation. I have to still put the street elbow in the hose at the bottom of the filter and fix the broken switch. I would also like to get more air out of the tubing from the isolator to meter.

Ordered the meter cup from Summit Racing VDO-240016D.
