Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) in tank pump

Well lift pump number three in one year. The shop says hey have to pu the new one in the tank. From everything I have been reading I should run away from this. They want me to pay the difference between the two. I think its FASS time What say you?

Fass pumps are good units... ... stay away from the stockers.

Fass is great, but if funds are short a good quality aftermarket from Napa or a reputable parts store.

Do your home work. Read some of the FASS, Air Dog and Glacier threads. Compare prices and call the companies. Make your decision based on what you've read here, prices and when you call the companies (i. e. customer service).



Buy, install, be happy - then never look back.

Thanks for the replys, Like KTobin said I'm going to trust my instincts and go after market. Now I just need to do some research and decide what product to get, either way I am sure it will be better than the in tank "upgrade"?????
