Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Increase pwr on 96

I woiuld like to increase pwr on 96 with AT about 50 HP. What plate and timing would be best. TBOB This is for a friend.

straight pipe it, remove the turbo silencer ring and get a BHAF

15-16* on the timing. #8 plate gives ya about 50 hp.

I own a 96 CTD with the TAG, stage one AFE pro guard 7 and 4in turbo back. I got a little turbo whirr when I put the TAG in. Would I benefit from taking the silencer ring out, if yes -how would that make a difference. Your response is appreciated.

The only thing that the silencer ring does is quiet the turbo down. if ya remove it it just makes the turbo louder.

omfg... . i popped out my silencer ring about half an hour ago, and took the ole rig out for a spin..... i dont think i ever had a bigger grin on my face... . deffintley take out the turbo silencer

The truck would really feel good with a gov spring kit.

A little more timing and a 6-8 plate.

Soon you will need trans work and then it would be twin turbo's and the 370 injectors.



It never stops!!!!!!!!!!!



BTW, your mileage will go up IF you drive it easy.
