leak

Another thought having delt with cummins / And dealerships for a few decades They (Cummins) have mobile on- site repair serv with a call from the customer/dealership/vendor-- So the dealer ship IF they want to service you/there custmer . First they can use dye and black lite to make sure the source of the leak-- then remove the a/c cond-radiator & support-fan and vib damper pully- Clean /Wash down oil covered eng comp's remove the timing cover Almost forgot--On second thought i was in error you said no exp. They cn leave the top end alone(valve corer and removeal of push rodsand such-- Tech then goes to another job-Master Cummins Man walks with need supplies and does the repair's from start to finish -I would suggest he also reinstall the timing cover and seal-- then Dealer/shop re-installs the rest of componets--you are back in bussiness and under warranty for the work done by both party's-- How as far as d/c go's when there time (yr/date/mi's ) say apr 1st /100k -and it leaks one day later on there part it becomes a policy adjustment (determinded by area rep') but in this case should fall back to the sholders of the dealership/ and Cummins (repairing dealer) for the work they preformed. . ie--fan goes thru Rad. d/c shop--- Crank seal leaks --Cummins dealership--.

Now the If part Will the D/C shop do it-- and stand up to the area rep to push thru the warranty so they get payed to out source the repairs by cummins?? Its done every day And the d/ c shop owner would be wise to do it Because it is also free on site training to his under trained staff.

You can do the same thing in your garage-then call cummins to complete the repairs ,Here you will have to pay the bill. You have cleared the path so the cost should now be about half.

Service veh/man starts when they leave the shop and return.

Caution You want the Cummins area Dist'or Not the guy from say Nvstr/Kw/Frt'lnr with the sign over there shop. .

There are B eng's in frt'lnrs and Fords but you would have to check if they have the tools/exp to do the jog.

Good luck
