Capped rail valve?

integrated power module replacement

This question should be divided into at least four segments for your responses to the following questions:

* What is the idle rail pressure for oem, lvl 1 cp3, lvl2 & lvl3 cp3s???

* What is the wot rail pressure for oem, lvl 1 cp3, lvl2 & lvl3 cp3s???

* What is the cruising rail pressure for all the above???

* What is the absolute lowest rail pressure for all the above in a wot run???

I would like to see each of the manufacturers of the modded cp3s step up and put it down in writing so we all can know what to expect out of each one and at each level.

Confused??

Ok, if this discussion was about a turbo, for example,. . there is measurable data that people would be interested in to compare turbos,... right??

So no one is wanting/needing to understand the measurable parameters of this product,... right?? I don't get it.

Ok, if it makes everyone feel better about dealing with this stealth question then PM me with this data,... especially the manufacturers.

My intent is not to start a product war but YOU,. . the manufacturer sell this product and you should know this info.

I will go as far to say NO ONE will I share this with if you PM me. I want to know if my product is performing to design specs or not.

I thought that the pressures would be the same. Just more volume in order to keep the higher pressure. The only time the pressure would alter (again my understanding) is when a pressure fooling box is added. The advantage in a modified CP3 is the ability to create more volume/flow more in order to keep up with the fuel demand the truck asks for.

Also in order to compare WOT runs, it would need to be done on the same truck at the same settings.

Tks for making my point then,...

If what you stated is correct then why does my lvl 2 run over 2k below the demand number of the computer? That is true even when I took the downloader off and NO other power adders except the injectors and then the difference was 1,500 difference but still lower than the demand. And then when it dropped a couple times on a single run to the basement (5kpsi) is that suppose to be normal. That's what I'm trying to get at here. I really didn't want to post these numbers but rather have them post what the spec is and then compare to see if I need this thing looked at or is it simply performing per spec and way above what I would expect from an oem cp3 since there was well over $1k spent on it. There should be an expectation for money spent and AGAIN I want to know if it is doing as advertised.

What are you reading your numbers with? I was at Floor-it's shop a couple of weeks ago with the DRB tool on my truck. Silmutaneously we we monitoring my Dipricol Optix gauge and the readings were very different. From what I learned then the gauges like mine have been reading wrong pretty consistently here lately. I think in the upper ranges mine was around 5,000 psi off of what the DRB showed. Just throwing out some other ideas.

Back to your original statement and my "understanding" of these pumps. I think how they rate them, or at least one way they rate them is the percentage of flow over stock.

The readings were taken with the shop's Snap-on scanner. It shows a lot of things,... like pimples on a nat's ... . ! But primarily what I was interested in was what was demand and what was provided. In ALL cases the provided was beneath the demand by over 2kpsi. Maybe that's a good place to start with someone with ton's of experience with these commenting on that prior statement. I am just about ready to take a brand new cp3 I have and put it on and take the same ratings just to see if they're better or worse than with this modded unit. You wouldn't think so would you?? It would be much better IMO if I knew for sure if a modded pump is incapable of keeping up with the computer demand number which is below 20k psi. When I've heard many comment on much higher numbers it makes me wonder.

Still waiting on a definitive response. Oo. Oo.

Maybe there is a problem with your stock pump, my stocker would do fine until doing a hard run then it couldn't flow the required amount (pressure) and my rail would lose pressure. And now with my modded CP3 it will hang in there with what the demand is.

I have a new stock pump but it's not on the truck. I bought it for my soon to be dual pumps. What's on the truck for the past year is the lvl 2 cp3.

Got it!!!

Got my response. Customer service is alive and well,... . unfortunately not with the company that got my $$$ for the lvl 2 pump. I got a phone call from their competitor and after a long discussion the preliminary discussion has lead us to "there is a problem" and most probably it is the fca, ... ... at least with the info I was able to recall and provide based on my runs as posted on the scanner. They will check the lvl 2 cp3 out and repair as necessary. Happy ending.

Tks all for your input. Oo. Oo. :D
