Competition Going to try drag racing for 1st time have?

Is here!!!

This will be the turbo preferred by Drag Racers and Sled Pullers in a single turbo application.

Industrial Injection has reset the bar in the airflow dept!

Quote from Brady: "On our wildly fueled C/R race truck spool up started way early for a turbo of this frame size and it cleaned up all the fuel we threw at it! Time for even crazier injectors! The smoke cleared up fast!":D

Here is a sneak peek of Industrial Injections latest new huffer- I give you

The SUPER BADAZZ SINGLE !!Oo.

I'm just learning, but why does the exhaust housing go down to just over 3''. Why is bigger not considered better? I'm just curious. .

The actual exhaust is outlet is 3. 5'' or less. I was getting that info from another forum with this posted, not the pics here. . I was just wondering why they don't go larger?

Exhaust outlet diameter really doesnt matter as long as its about the same size or little larger than the turbine wheel exducer diameter.

So this leads me to ask these questions...

-If your a drag racer why would you want to have a charger this large to drag race with?. Isn't the thought smaller creates faster spoolup which will allow for better et's and trap speed.

-How do you figure anyone will be able to drive this on the street with the size it is?. Certainly a charger that size means a lag pig for the daily driver.

-Why is it that always, a owner who has done nothing but internet cheerleading, gets the first look or first one to try. Certainly there are others who do compete weekly who would provide better feedback than, rah rah rah, looky looky what I got.

Go Figure... ..... Andy

Question 1- Spool up starts relatively early for a turbo of this frame size- II tested this turbo on their heavily fueled CR Race Truck and spoolup around 1800 is sweet. After that it cleared all the massive fuel that II has on their racer(2 CP3's). They will do additional testing with even crazier injectors... .

Question 2- One's set up for daily driver is vastly different than anothers. So yes it may be a bit large for a mildly modded/fueled truck.

Question 3- You jealous or something? I will be running this charger on my Pro Mod Racer- THAT'S WHY I HAVE IT.

Thank You.

Lets be honest that thing is a full blown competition charger for purpose built trucks (which is great by the way). There aint no way that thing is spooling by 1800 rpm... . it might start to lite up at 1800 but it aint spooled by then (unless you just throwing a crap ton of fuel at it during WOT)

But hey its nice they are marketing turbos for those who desire more... (like myself) instead of worrying about the tired old "can I tow with it" "does it surge" etc. :{

Judging by the size of the 80mm wheel up front and the wheel in the back which is probably in the 85-93mm @ the exducer, that charger should be able to make an easy 700 reliable horsepower on fuel and over a grand on spray.

For sure

Because those that just cheerlead tend waste time on the phone blowing smoke up vendors arses and telling them how they are gonna build this and build that but it usually never materializes or ends up being excuse after excuse why it wont run... . OR it ends up being a spruce goose that makes one or two passes down the track.

Enough ranting for me... time to go work on the truck some more.

I think you need to read my post where I agreed and said it may be a bit much for a mildly modded truck.....

And no I don't spend my time blowin smoke up vendors arses- I am busy building up a Pro Mod Diesel Racer- also starting up events in the North East region with the NHRDA- this involves meeting with track owners and presenting references setting dates- promoting these events- ect, ect, ect.

So no excuses or spruce gooses here JW and Hammer, I am working diligently to bring Diesel Motorsport Events into my region, that is my first order of my concern, secondary and the icing on the cake is my Pro Mod Racer- built from the ground up. I guess I'm supposed to walk in the shop and see these engines I'm prepping for battle get done by magical little elves? No- I'm doing it myself.

Have a nice day guys.
