Infinity Amplifier on Backorder!

Drat. No sound at all from the radio, CD or tape. It's the amp. It's on backorder. My truck is not playing music, it's just sounding like my truck. (Which isn't bad, but I can't sing along with it, or hear the news and traffic reports. )



Anyone else have the amp fail? What did you do? How long did it take to get back up and running?

Weird?!? I assume that this is being covered under warranty?



Might try a junkyard if it's your dollar. I would imagine that it's the same amp that most of the DC cars/trucks use?



Or you might try a car stereo shop. You might be able to just replace the amp with an aftermarket one. I 'm not sure what type of processing the amp does in addition to aplification, but if it's just a straight power amp, I'm sure there are aftermarket parts to replace the facotry hookups so that an aftermarket amp can be used.
