Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) EGT Problems...still

Well after 8 years, the old radio has stopped working. Tape drive still turns, but no sound from the tape or AM/FM and the clock doesn't work.

Did a search and then pulled the radio and checked all connections, no problems found. So,,,,,if anyone has a stock Infinity collecting dust or suggestions on where to look next, I'd be in your debt.

Thanks,

RJR

I swapped mine......

For someones CD deck, so if all you want is one with AM/FM Tape I'll let the old one go. I know the factory wants a bundle for these but their not worth it. PM me with what you think is a fair price and I'll let you know.

Garrett, thanks for offer. But I think I'm going to upgrade a bit. If a Infinity doesn't come along, I'll buy something off the shelf with CD .

Thanks again, Ronnie

stock infinity

I have a stock infinity off of a 2001 ram (am/fm/tape/CD). I think it should fit ( its not the new rounded corner style ) I know it fits the 1995 voyagers, and the 1997 neons

It'll fit, I have the same unit in my truck from a 2000.

As long as you guys understand that part of the infinity system is amps mounted on the front speakers.

I guess the infinity puts out low power from the unit, which drives the amps on the speakers. It would probably work without the amps, but would not sound as loud.

Farmer, are you saying that the resistor was needed to make the Infinity compatible with your original non-Infinity system. Or, your factory Infinity failed and a resistor fixed it?

Thanks, Ronnie
