Has anybody tried changing faceplate bulbs in the Infinity radios?? Mine are burning out and can't find out if they are replacable. If they are, what number bulbs does it take?? Dealer could not tell me anything about it. Hate to rip it apart twice so am hoping someone has already tackled one.

Thanks, Mike

Let me clarify * The bulbs in the faceplate of the radio are burning out one by one. It appears that there are 8-10 of them in the faceplate. I have at least two burned out and it is making it hard to see the memory buttons for example.

I also have the #4 & #5 buttons on my radio not working. I did a search on radio light bulb replacement & found nothing. I looked up light bulb replacement in the service manual, Pg. 8L-16, in the '97 service manual (FSM) under dimmer controlled lamps, it says:
"Some components have lamps that can only be serviced by a Authorized Service Center (ASC) after the component has been removed from the vehicle. Contact local dealer for location of nearest ASC. "
There is then a list of different dimmer controlled bulbs & their bulb #, with radio showing ASC. I don't think this is the answer you were looking for... :( I know I didn't want to see it.

I know there are repairs that have been done that are not in the FSM, like the grid heater relay replacement that I just went through. So, if anyone has suscessfully replaced radio bulbs...
