Info on Brake Controllers

For those of you that want to get some basic info on the various types of trailer brake controllers, get a copy of the March 2002 Trailer Life Magazine. The article explains how the different types work and how they will perform. The right controller makes towing a pleasure. Check it out.

Do they mention anything about the Jordan controller? I purchased one recently based on the high recommendations of other TDR members and because the concept of the Jordan just made sense to me. I haven't got my 5er yet, so I can't say how well it works for me and, besides, I don't have any previous experience to compare it to. I asked at a couple of RV dealerships if they had any experience with the Jordan but they had never heard of it.



Just curious if Trailer Life included it in their review.

It does mention the Jordon controller, but the article is more a "how do they work" and not an evaluation of which is best. It's an interesting article for basic knowlege and some ideas of what might be coming in the future...

Where does one get one of the Jordan brake controls at a good price? I've messed around with the rest and now want one of the best. I get tired of having to adjust the thing all the time. I haven't seen any around locally.

As far as I know the only way to get one is directly from Jordan himself.

Charlie, I have had several brake controllers in various trucks, I can say the Jordan is probably the best I have had. As mentioned before they are ordered directly from them. Just my 2 cents
