info on hitch recall

I read on one of the topics,,someone mentioned a recall on factory trailer hitches,,,anyone know anything about it???

You need to take it in and have them check the VIN against their list to see if you need it done. If your hitch is cracked it will be replaced, if it is not cracked they will BOLT on some braces. I was not going to let them weld on my truck, but that is not their plan anyway.

I believe the hitch recall was associated with the 99 year Rams if memory serves me correctly. I also have a 96 and tow a 31' Holiday Rambler TT. No probs with hitch.

The recall was for the 99. Does anyone want the POS hitch that Dodge doesn't want to replace because I swapped out before the recall?
