Short Shifter Warning!!!

Looking for deals on BHAF

Does someone have a site that tries to explain the plus and minus of all of these different fueling boxes, timing boxes and combination boxes. I have come across information about needing a boost fooler for over 20 psi of boost and some boxes have it built in. What I'm looking for is a place that explains the basics of these boxes and how they fit into the overall bombing "virus". I think you know what I'm asking. Kind of a "Bombing 101" type site.

I know that someone is going to chime in here and say, "Why don't you use the search function?". Well here's my answer to that. Have you tried to use the search function? It's not all that easy to find the information that you're looking for. I have used it and come across a lot of interesting reading but most of the discussions are such that you have to have a basic understanding of what is being talked about. Don't get me wrong I have learned a lot using the search. However I hope that someone can point me to a site that can put the pieces together and help me to get up to speed (in more ways then one:D ).

JR2 did a pretty complete comparision on many boxes from many vendors

use JR2 as your member search

it should be a good read. its was done 1st part of 03

hope this helps

Try this site

It seems like Power Edge and TST keep try to one up the other. One will add and release their product and the other will add that and something else and release and so on and so on. The TST product has about the same performance I tried both but cost for me made my decision ( I'm sure other will chime in here, not trying to get another war going either).

TST has built in gauges too if you go with the remote. It will also allow you to set limits (mins and maxs) which will help protect you and your engine.

Since I went with the Power Edge Comp. I have to drive off the gauges in the truck. Its not that big of a deal, like watchin' the needle go crazy (EGT's and Boost).

Eh, Death Stalker (right?)

Do you have to run a Boost Fouler with that? A guy at work just bought one, its not installed yet though. He has a bunch of questions you mind a few PM later this month?

Don't mind at Grey Ghost, or should I say Grey Wolf. You are right though about calling it a ghost, It is an endangered specie. Anyways, to answer your question, no, the TST box does not need a boost fooler. It has one built in already. -Ray-

Dendroaspis Polylepis

Opps

Lets start this one over again,

Torque This: would ya mind a few PMs about your Blue Chip APB.

TORQUS MAXIMUS: Got the user ID wrong but ya answered anyway cool.

Now I think thats a snake, and a water snake I believe. Venomous, Hum... I'll have to get back to ya.

PS, ANIMALIA (Metazoa)/CHORDATA/REPTILIA/SQUAMATA/ELAPIDAE/DENDROASPIS/Dendroaspis polylepis aka Black Mamba most deadly snake known to man.

Man I had to go back to some of my old Latin and Bio stuff. And though it was tempting to look it up on the old web, I did it the old way.

I see that you answered the question of the boost fooler but it doesn't have the timing built into it. Do you run a separate box for the timing?

Yes I have and their APB box information makes no mention of timing or boost fooler for that matter. I am looking for something that has the power when I want it but when I'm driving lightly will also help my mileage. The comp box looks like the best for that. I've still got time before I get any kind of box so I'll keep looking.

I've got the intake improved. I've upgraded the injectors. I'll get the gauges next Monday and I'm going to do something with the exhaust next week also. Then I'll have to wait a little while before I upgrade my clutch. Sometime during all this I'm going to relocate my lift pump and probably install new larger fuel lines.

After all that THEN I can get a box. Did I forget something? I hope not because all this is going to be expensive enough!

Its only $$$$

You can go as fast as you got money. Looks like the list you got started is fairly complete.

After all I have done, watching my fuel pressure Guage is like watching a toilet flush. It'll go from 12 psi to 3 psi with the drop of the soot pedal (5 x 5 on the Comp). So next is to do just what you mentioned in your thread. Large, huge fuel line and better lift pump asap.

PM me all ya want...

Running the EZ for low end kick, and the APB for high end thrills!

I can max out my boost gauge, guessing I am pulling about 40 to 45

As far as fuel pressure... I can go from 16 to 4 real quick.

Also running DDIII's.
