Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Inj Pump Questions.

Any Differances between the HO pump and the SO pump.



I understand the fuel rate diff.



Wondering if any diff. on reliability, Due they both faill the same?

Also, were 2002 ( last year of VP44 ) any better reliability than early years.

From reading the posts, I get the idea that cummins engines in other applications ( non Dodge ) use a differant control system ( No dodge APPS/PCM/ECM )



If so, could a cummins control system be installed for reliability, I have a std

shift, so don't need the PCM for important functions ( I think )
