Hey guys..... this is the VE pump re&re process when the pump is/was replaced under the TSB recall for possible runaway... . I post this because it has a lengthy "how to with pictures" on the process a dealer would/will follow to do the job.

It is a link to the original thread.

I thought it might help those who need to pull a pump for some reason...

Enjoy... :D:D:D

VE pump re&re process

Just had a place called PDR do it for me and set it up. :) Oo.

I'll save the link, tho.

So correct me if I am wrong . . . . this is a recall notification and if I am the original owner of the truck and I was never notified and I have the correct date number on the injection pump . . . . then Chrysler owes me one injection pump replacement?

WOW!

Yep... you got it right... . just call a dealer and give them your VIN and/or pump number and they can tell from there..... even some 92's were affected... . my brother's was... .

Thanks. After Chrysler works on it, it will probably run worse than before???? Will approach this with due diligance and caution. . . .

Worst case senario:

The dealer's service manager pulls the oil change "kid" from the lube bay to R&R the pump on your "old Dodge Diesel"

Ouch
