Hey all,

Been awhile since I've posted anything, but I have a question now.

I was trying to advance my injection pump timing the other day. I got all the nuts loose (there are only 3, right?) but when I did, I couldn't get the darned thing to turn. I didn't have a rubber mallet with me, so I couldn't hit it with anything soft (i'd be affraid to anyway). Do I have to remove any fuel lines? Or is it just stuck? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Nope there are 4 bolts. keep lookong you will find them I would tell you were they are but trying to explain?!?! Well here goes. There are three on the front of the pump. and one on a bracket close to the back. The one on the bottom is the worst to find and get to I had to cut down a wrench to get it lose. It is just above the power steering pump.

good luck

Dan

pump

:) Hey bud, there is a small tubing on top that must br taking off to move the pump. Just bend it slightly to get it back on, not a big deal. Takes a little patience, but it will sound much better when you advance her a bit. Tim

Hey, when i turned my pump, twice, it turned alot harder then i thought it would, and wanted to spring back, the last time i got a bubby to twist the pump and i, using a 3/32 welding rod as a gage, torqued the nuts,i did not like the 1/8 twist,3/32 worked best for me, hope this helps, joe

Ya, once you get it to move, don't let go to tighten the nuts..... the sucker just hops right back were it was... . they are a booger to move...
