Injection Pump Tricks?

I've been working on diesels for around 15 years now but any pump work I always farmed out to my local diesel injection shop. My question is this, how do I "tweek" the pump on my 1st gen? It's a rotary Bosch pump that's stock. I've heard of people turning up the fuel screw, but never attempted it mostly because I don't know where it is. If I had to swap heads, or change the cam in a Cummins, no problem, but injection pumps are foreign to me. Any help/pictures would be appreciated.
