I took my truck in to have them check for some slop in the front end. Of course, all was "within spec". Should have bet on that. Anyway, among a few other things that I know I need to do, they suggested an "injector flush". He told me they disconnect the rail or something in there and run a chemical through the fuel lines so the truck is actually running on the chemical. Has anyone heard of this? I've used PS in the grey bottle and also Seafoam. Is this just another way to separate me from my money?

Hold on to your money if you are regularly using PS and Seafoam. WHenever I change my fuel filter on the FASS pump, I do a Lucas injector clean by filling the filter with Lucas oil. About 4 bucks worth of clean.

dealer injector cleaner

I have an injector that acts up occasionally, told the dealer about it

and they informed me that before they do anything to the injector they

would have to run the cleaner thru the engine as you have described above.

The cost was close to $400, of course I declined and bought a bottle of

PS Diesel Kleen at Walmart and by the time I had used it all the problem

went away and has not returned, it's been several months since I did that,

probably should use PS occasionally. Never been a believer in additives,

but this one worked.

Read the directions on the bottle, if the problem is critical it instructs

you to add an elevated amount to the fuel.
