Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Injector inspection question

Well, apparently the head had to come off my truck today, and will be off until parts come in.

What can I look for as far as injector inspection goes?

I think the shop may let me back to take a look.

I have to go to the shop in the A. M. to get stuff out of it, as it will be a week till my parts come in, So I would love to take a look while she's apart for anything that's normally real tough to get at.
