You must have missed one of the cross over tubes, break the lines one at a time until you find the one that is not makeing any differance, check the tube on that one you'll find the problem.

I think he means the tube inside the head that goes from the injector line to the injector itself. I agree, with the diagnosis, crack each line until you find the one that does not make any difference in idle quality. That cylinder is where the problem lies.

It's most likely that you don't have #5 or #6 tightened enough. I had the same problem the first time I changed the injectors.

The haynes manual calls thoses tubes "Connector Tubes" If you can smell diesel check all the lines to see if there is a leak. Good bet would be number 6 is leaking. Its pretty hard to tighten number 6, only way I could stop mine leaking was with a crow foot from sears. Wipe your finger under number six line to check for leaks. If you fix any leak you find and it still runs rough it could be a damaged connector tube/s causing an internal leak.

well i just redid whole install now runs great but then noticed idled crappy looked under hood #3 was dumping fuel all over motor fixed that now runs great but had to powerwash whole truck diesel was everywhere but after cleaning notice that injectors stay dry atr idle but if I run down the street I notice it gets all wet up there I cant tell where from but truck runs great how do I figure this out all nuts are as tight as I can get should i reloosen and tighten or what should I do

You could have a bad seal on one of the fuel tubes. You need to order a new set and reinstall. If you overtorque the fuel supply line they will leak.
