Hi all,

I am picing up DD2 injectors this weekend from a fellow TDR member

What elso do I need to install them (seal's of some type) also I remember someone posted the install instructions does anyone have them to post. I would appreciate it.

Thank's,

Marc

If you post or PM me your email address I'll send you a copy of the install instructions. They can't be posted for copyright reasons.

Here are the install instructions http://www.lib. uaa. alaska. edu/~tibor/DD-Injector-Install-Instructions.pdf . I found this in this post Injector install

You will love the power of the DD II's and the UFM but I can tell you right now that you'll need to upgrade your fueling system. With just my Comp I could only pull pressure down to 6-8 psi with the injectors on top of that I can pull it down to nothing. I see a RASP in my future.

Oh by the way I did the swap and didn'y change anything as far as gaskets even though I need to change the valve cover gasket because it leaks a little on the back. Do the start up procedure just as outlined in the instructions and be prepared for a slow couple of starts after the truck sits the first couple times. After mine finally started I drove it 10 miles or so then I parked it for 30 minutes, then I went to start it and had to crank it for 10 seconds or a little more, then it did this the next day again and since then it's been fine with no prolonged starts. I did realize I need new batteries after that first start though, I almost ran out of battery and it was 85 degrees out.

The only thing I have changed is the copper washer on the injectors themselves. Bought them from cummins. Sold in sets of 4  They are cheap enough that it wouldn't hurt to put new ones in.

I have never changed valve cover gaskets or o-rings on injectors.

Just my . 02

thank's for all the help but I was wondering I tow about 7K twice a month and allways turn the box to 1 bar lit. With the DD2's do I have to turn box off completly or is level 1 safe?

I used to drive around most of the time with the box on 3x3, now with the DD II's I leave the box off unless I am provoked.

On edit: I see you have an auto, a turbo upgrade could be in your near future, that little hy doesn't like the temps

Last weekend I put on an hx35 so this weekend I would do injectors. So with the DD2 and ufm I should leafe ufm off or 1 bar lit for around town and towing?
