Isn't there something about needing new "tubes" or some additional parts if you have a 98. 5 24V engine? I would like to know before I get started on this. Thanks in advance, Dan

I hope some one answers Dan's question on new tubes for the '98. 5 because my injectors came today and I want to install them. So I need to know.

From the TSB section here on the site:

14-01-98 A : High pressure fuel line service.

This bulletin supersedes technical service bulletin 14-01-98 dated March 6, 1998. This information applies to the 5. 9L Cummins electronically injected 24 valve diesel built prior to engine serial number (ESN) 56462592. Design revisions have been made to the injector connector tube, and the new design can be re-torqued multiple times without compromising the seal between the connector tube and high pressure fuel line. The new part number for this connector tube is 05013856AA/Cummins 3944833.

You can find the engine serial number on a tag on the driver's side of the engine towards the front. My June build 98 fell within the TSB.

Would someone please be so kind as to send me the instructions
