I recently bought a set of 370 injectors for my 98. Joe Donnely told me to look in issue 51 of TDR. In that article it references issue 39 and I'll be darned if I can find that one. Does anyone know what's in that issue as it pretains to R&R injectors?

I guess I could order a replacement, but I don't want to wait that long or if I even need it.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Bart.

Brief instructions are:

**Take air horn off.

**Take off injector lines w/19mm (3/4") wrench. Leave them bunched together with all retaining pieces (remove two 10mm bolts at intake area holding them down).

**Remove small return line (joins all injectors). Lines take 10mm, 12mm for nut at top of filter canister

**Use 15/16" socket to remove injector nuts. Use a lug nut from your wheel to thread onto the top of the injector to use for prying them out. Some guys use a custom-made slide hammer. They will be stubborn.

**Install new injectors with new washers, making sure the old ones came out with your stockers. Torque nuts to 44 ft/lbs. Injector lines take 18 ft/lbs as I recall.

Have fun! Hope you have gauges, you'll need them with 370s :)

Thanks for the info and Yes I have gauges, that was the second thing I got for the truck, the first was the truck.

Thanks again, your info go right along with the issue 51.

You bet Bart. Be sure and let us know how it turns out, and how it runs :)

Another little suggestion. . . after you get it together and ready to fire up, pump the primer button several times. Then while cranking hold the pedal at least 2/3 of the way down so it'll get fuel to the injectors faster. SOme people bleed the lines, I don't. I just give it a few 20-second rounds of cranking and it usually fires fairly fast.
