When I was having a problem with smoke I did an injector test of sorts. I unplugged one injector wiring harness at a time which of course turns off two injectors. This could help narrow a problem to within two cylinders if you want to do a little troubleshooting on your own and avoid the dealer.
If that works and you think you've narrowed something to within two cylinders, plug everything back in and pop the valve cover. Take a 8mm nut driver and disconnect one wire on one of the suspect injectors, then run the engine. Reattach the wire and do the other injector if necessary. Be careful to not let the loose wire touch anything, and especially you. . . I think it hits 90 volts. Also put the V/C back on when you go to fire it up so oil doesn't go everywhere.
