The little metal sleeve like pieces on my injector lines; what are they for? More importantly, can i take them off? Mine are all loose, rubbing the injector lines, and i'm curious if this will lead to trouble down the road. I can post a picture if need be but I think you know what I mean. Thanks!

Leave em be. The truck will be long gone before they ever chafe through. High pressure injector lines are very thick walled.

Joe,

You can remove them if you want to, but it's probably not necessary.

Mine were doing the same thing as yours so I took them off years ago. Personally I sleep better knowing nothing is chaffing on those critical injector lines! Why risk trouble?

Hopefully you are not referencing the little brackets that hold the lines tight. They must not be allowed to be loose! Those lines cannot vibrate against any substantial object.

No not those, just the thin little crimp like tags that slide around on the line. Mine are "buzzing" around on the lines, really the only reason I was wondering. They've rubbed enough to start discoloring the injector line.

That's kind of where I am with it, but as Scott mentioned I don't think they'll pose a risk. Thank you gentleman, I appreciate it.
