Archived injector problem ????

I was pulling a boat on the interstate at 60 mph when engine started missing. Could only run about 45 mph in 5th gear. It would not pull in 6th gear. Limped home. Changed fuel filter and air filter. No help. Very loud ticking noise coming from engine. Could I have lost an injector. Fuel preasure is 20 lbs.

cycled key off-on three times, still shows miles. nothing about codes. Will a 06 show codes when you cycle the key.

Turn key off-on-off-on-off-on and leave in on postion. Codes should show in a few seconds.

Is it the injection pump that is bad or an injector or something else. It runs, but very rough. Very loud ticking noise.

I would put a couple cans of 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank if it smooths out then it's your FCA . Have you checked your oil level bad ijector will wash down your cylinder walls and fill the crankcase. Oil analysis is a good way to go also. Did you do any flashes for the white smoke on start up? 05's were known to do that? Hope this helps

injectors removed and everybody tells me at my millage 115000 i think it was my injectors will fail sooner or later so thats that. . my shop may fix my injectors or i go with new ones. . ( in finland we usually rebuild cr injectors) and i want to go with some bigger nozzles. . please tell me what good mgp nozzles i can get and what power i may get 62/12 htb2 turbo 50psi smarty no cat and i will buy a liftpump. (fass or beltdriven?) and some good hint about performence nozzles please. . but will i get bad mpg then? somthing near stock mpg would be nice think my stock have been bad for a long time
