Midwest Fuel injection Here too!

Great people to deal with Not overpriced and a great reputation!

Read the threads here first and you can install it in no time with no headaches!

Buy a Bend A Light or the slightly fatter version from Streamlight and you can put the light right were you need it to watch the Key enter the Gears Keyway, Piece of Cake! And Of coarse you already know to replace that factory LP if not already done! Two Thumbs Up for Midwest Fuel injection! I'd give them more thumbs but that's all I have!

My experience....

I just ordered a Blue Chip injection pump today. Got the Special X for better mileage as it's got more advanced timing.

I have a MWFI pump on the truck now, and have had it for 2 years. I've been chasing my tail on a miss/bucking issue for quite some time now, and I believe it's done it since day one.

I have changed/checked everything and have come to the conclusion, along with Chip, that it's the computer on top of the pump.

Here's the deal: Chip replaces the computer on the VP44 100% of the time, whereas other companies don't. I'm not saying MWFI didn't replace the computer on mine; I'm just saying that if it wasn't, I have no idea how many heat cycles are on it as the pump can pass tests on the bench without showing any driveablilty problems.

The GUARANTEED new computer is why his pumps are more expensive.

And, to top it off, Chip will take his pump back if my problem isn't resolved with his pump. I think that's the best guarantee out there.

Had I known about Blue Chip prior to buying my MWFI, I'd have gone with Chip.

I had a hot start problem after putting in the MWFI pump. I called them and they pulled up the work order for the pump they sent me and very little was used from the old pump. He said they replace the computers. My start problem was too much fuel pressure during start (I have an Airtex pump) and it was running while in the start mode with 17 psi. The injection pumps block fuel flow if the pressure is over 6 psi during start. I had the truck reflashed with the latest software and the pump only runs 1 sec and doesn't run during start. I have had a bucking too only during acceleration from about 20 mph until I pushed the accelerator to the floor and then it quits. It is very intermittent (happened 3 times after driving about 140 miles). Don't know if its the new injection pump yet.

I got mine from Thoroughbred Bosch VP44 Dodge Injection Pump :: VP 44 Diesel Fuel Injection Pump

$1010. 00 to your door, they give a return label for the core and no core charge as long as you return it within 14 days of receiving the unit.

I've had mine (went with straight up stock replacement SO VP) since 3/09 - S'all good.

Great people, customer service and know their product. Do some reading on the site I cut and pasted a SAMPLE:
Thoroughbred Diesel offers replacement Bosch Vp44 Fuel Injection Pumps that have been rebuilt by certified Bosch tech and have been tested on a test stand for 4hrs before the pump is sent to you. Bosch VP 44 diesel pumps are also upgraded with all the latest upgrades required by Bosch, such as a thicker diaphragm, and new computers. Our VP44 injection pumps come with a 1yr unlimited mileage warranty.

I'm just sharing the great experience I had - I'm sure there are many others having similar experiences with other outfits.
