Injector question?

Guess I have a simple question? Reguarding boost when you install just dd1s or 275 bosch. How do you get boost? yes fix the waist gate, but is there not a computer issue of reading 20psi boost it will cut the fuel and flag a check engine. This according to a mechanic at dc?? thanks??

The DD1's are capable of 30# boost. With out a boost module to keep the computer from seeing a signal over 20# and elbow to increase the waste gate pop off pressure, the waste gate will dump anything over approx 20# causing egt to rise. your unbombed wast gate should keep the boost level under code loging limits, thats why it is there.

As Jnutter said, you need a boost module. It plugs into the map sensor and does not let the ecm see anything over stock boost levels. Practical solutions sells that part as a stand alone and it is very reasonably priced. Gordon's # 406-727-5144 Hope that helps.

I have the EZ and the boost elbow installed. I can get 26. 5 psi of boost on my guage. I want to install a set of DD1s. Do I have enough boost and will the boost increase with the DD1s?

Mag, I have already replace the clutch at 21,000 miles. It was my fault in that I was moving RVs around my lot with the truck. In doing that I knew 2 things were going to happen. 1, the clutch would die a premature death. 2, sooner or later, I would skin my truck. Either or both would ruin my day. SO, I bought a forklift. Works a whole lot better. I replaced the clutch with another OEM unit until the clutch Gurus sort this thing out. In the event I need another clutch, I am leaning toward the Southbend unit.

Barry, do you think you'll have any clutch problems with the setup you're talking about? I was considering the same upgrades,EZ and DD1's,but don't want to change the clutch right away. Anybody else already have this combination in H. O 6spd? How's the clutch holding up?
