Here's the question; are injectors different from an automatic transmission truck and a manual one? My buddy read some stuff and says that a 60hp injector is 2 different injectors, one for manual and one for an auto. I always thought 60hp is 60hp wether it is put in a 180hp truck or a 215 hp truck. Which is right?

The stock injectors are probably different, but the aftermarket ones will still work. The the output of the fuel injection pumps is different, so the power output will be different, from the same injector.

The original injectors are all different depending on the HP rating, 160hp being the smallest and 215hp the largest. Aftermarket injectors won't vary from automatic to manual, but the HP difference they make will vary depending on which HP engine they are installed in. Here is a chart from TST products for the 370 marine injector that shows the HP difference expected from the different engines.

Hope this helps,

I know that aftermarket injectors will fit, that's not really the question. My buddy has a 95 auto and had 60hp injectors in it another guy was looking at buying them but said he wouldn't get much more hp from them. He has a 97 manual, 215 hp stock so he says that he would only get 220 hp total after the injectors were in because they are 60hp from the 95 auto stock 160 hp. We're all getting confused talking about it and wanted other opinions. I called a place and they said all injectors give you whatever hp they are sold at and another place said injectors are rated for specific years of trucks.
