I changed out my injectors today and found that the No. 4 injector had two copper washers? I thought that was kind of strange but the truck had run fine so what the heck.

In went the new DD II's:) They work nice with the EZ when it is working (that is another story).

My question is: did I have stock 215's in my truck or had the previous owner changed them over to 275's or something else, hence the extra washer?

The part number is 0423193630 and 4831 on the top of the injector. The nozzle has seven holes.

injectors

I'll take a stab at this and say that I would guess that your injectors had allready been changed previously. When I put the 275's in mine I went from five to seven holes in the injector so i would guess that yours would have been the same? But I wouldn't guarantee it

EZ quits fueling ever now and then and I have to un-plug the data port to reset it. I changed the position of the pin to the middle spot hoping that will help.

Kind of a pain to pay $$ and have to open the hood ever other day to reset the box. I talked to edge and they will look at it. Now it is just a matter of giving the box up for a few days until it is fixed or exchanged. :(

P. S> I thought stock injectors had five hole as well: I'm starting to think that they are 275's.

Anyone know?

Funny thing Breck. There are times when I think my fueling function has stopped also, especially when the smoke between shifts goes away. I have unplugged mine and plugged it back in and the smoke comes back. I figured it was the contacts, but I have cleaned, recleaned, recleaned, and it didn't do away. I never thought it could be the EZ resetting... .

EZ Failure

I had a problem with my EZ also. I installed 275s and the EZ on the same day, so I noticed a definite power increase but could not tell which addition was providing more power. I started to suspect the EZ was not good or not working many months later when many members would talk about all the smoke that they could get from the same combination. I sent my EZ back to EDGE and with no hassle, they sent me a brand new EZ. The new one is great and I had great service. I would not hesitate to call them if I suspected my EZ was not working.

Please, tell me more... . Do you just unplug and replug the EZ with the engine and ignition off? Unplug the EZ, turn the ignition on then off, and then replug it? Unplug the EZ and drive around awhile, then replug it? I want to try this with my EZ since it feels like the timing function is working, but I have my doubts about the fueling function.

Thanks,

Rusty
