I purchased a used set of Bully Dog Stage II injectors. In the process of installing them tonight when I came across something that doesn't seem right to me. I pulled one of my stock injectors out and compared it to the BD II and they both look the same... shouldn't there be a significant difference in the size of the holes??

You won't notice a difference in hole size till you get up to the big boys like shower nozzels. The difference in size does not need to be huge to make more power. I have seen one set of "shower" nozzels and you CAN see the holes very clearly.

Extrude Honing

Extrude honing doesn't remove a bunch of material. You have seven holes in that nozzle, and even half a thou will produce improvement. But you can't detect half a thou with your eyes.

???

You went from stock injectors to stage 2 ( 80hp) injectors and didn't see and feel a differenct? Are you sure they are stage 2's?? I went from 275's to dd2's and could tell a lot of difference and that is only 40hp about. More power, smoke, boost, and easier acceleration.

Hope you figure out what is up.

Update....

Well I had very low FP so I replaced the stock LP and added a Fuel Manager set up. This brought me from 12psi idle to 23psi idle and 5psi WOT to 15psi WOT and still no difference. I'm not sure what the deal is but I am disappointed.

Hey Ryan... I saw you on US41 in front of the court house last week on Tues around 12:30. I tried to catch you but ya lost me in all the black smoke. :D. Plus I got all the red lights along the way.

I can't believe after all that work you can't tell a difference. Did you get that fuel manager while at Scheids'?

Now if you played it right you could have run the red lights and blamed it on the black smoke if you got caught. :D

Yeah I got the fuel manager at Scheids. I wasn't too sure if I wanted another pump mounted so far away from the fuel tank but it did make a drastic difference so time will tell...

Something I forgot to mention is that on the way to Indiana the best mileage I got was 20mpg and on the way back the best I saw was 22mpg. I can't say that it was from the injectors though because I changed the FPs at the same time.
