1) where should I look to buy a set of EDM's?

2) who should I talk to?

3) what should I expect to pay for them?

4) core on my injectors?

5) how much (roughly) should I expect to pay to get them installed?

6) who exactly makes the EDM's

7) would they be a good reliable injector for me?

8) how much horespower should I expect to increase?

9) what are your opinions... good choice or not?

P. S. someone said Rip or Piers any ideas would be greatly appreciated (dont want any more smoke than obviously I will gain) Want as much of a sleeper as I can have.

1. I ordered from Rip

2. See #1

3. http://www.f1diesel.com/injectors24.html

4. $100

5. Dunno. Took me (1st timer) about 3 hours.

6. See #3

7. YES

8. Depends on which injector you get.

9. Excellent choice. I went with Mach 2. 5 for my '99 w/HX35. But then I sold the truck to get a 3rd gen.

Anything bigger than a set of stage 1's and you will bake your transmission. You may want to get it addressed first then start increasing the power. Just a transmission job alone will put more HP to the ground.

I totally agree with thejeepdude, give Rip a call. His web site is: http://www.protintnw.com/sa-main.htm

I have Mach 1. 5 with pretty much the same truck as you do. If you drive careful (I know... where's the fun in that!?!), the transmission will hold with the 1. 5's. If I turn on my comp box, I can slip the tc at will. The 1. 5's without a turnbuckle on the turbo would not set a code on mine, but keep an eye on the egt's if you tow. I currently have a turnbuckle on the turbo, and am using the comp as a boost fooler(box installed but turned off, no pump wire) until I get the trans done. Egt's never get above 1150 with it setup this way.

Hope this helps...

Paul

Got the money to do all this just working on some details, as I am major ANAL :D Im thinking the 2. 4's (or 2. 5's?) will be going in. along with probably a comp box... . have to be carefull for a couple of months until the TURBO FAIRY drops an hx 40 under my pillow. Not afraid to spend a liittle dough just want it in the right places. Tanny is definately first to go in:D :D as it is most important ... . want to get it done before I too taste baked transmission:D truck only has 12,000 miles on it so Ill get it done now while its fairly fresh.
