None. Runs great. 18500 miles and no fuel additives. Good friend has a 03 auto with 95k and change. No injectors,no fuel additives and fuel filters every 15 to 25k!

replaced 1 injector so far.

No further problems but have been burning Redline DFFC ever since. Is it helping that problem? Don't know... but it definately helps the mpg.

I guess I've either lucked out or haven't been paying attention, but I have 168k on my truck now and no problems. They do sound a bit noiser now, but so far I've related that to the quad box. The idle is smooth, power is smooth and strong, smoke when I want it to.

Any other diagnostic signals to be looking for?

I've got 26k on my 05 already :D

My 04. 5 has been a faithful servant in delivering trailers nationwide. When I wasn't on the road, my dad was with my truck. Figure 4 west coast trips on average a month at 4000 + miles a shot and that's how the mileage explodes. I've only put 20k on it since feb and I feel like I don't have much seat time! LOL

Mine started to clatter at about 30,000 miles. Intermittent at first then became full-time. Dealer replaced #4 just shy of 70K.

Interesting job, good way to see some of the country if you can manage loads each way.

We haul because we have to. Our main business is manufacturing the trailers.

We are empty coming back 99. 9% of the time.

Although many have criticised this poll for being unscientific, it's results have maintained a steady 12% injector replacement rate since inception. Interesting.

03,, #2 replaced, computer reflashed, several other checks, it still knocks and the more they work on it, the MPG gets worst. I know I was getting 19 when I first bought the truck, 13. 5 before they started to get their gruby fingers on the engine, now I am getting 12. Word of advise, don't take your rig to any Oregon dealers. I tried 3 dealers here and all that has been proven is that they can't fix anything.

Not even a whisper In 46k on my 04.

But I just knew they all were about ready to go kaput and completely destroy the Blue Ox and that's why I got a 97 12v. ;) Who me paranoid.

We are a full repair diesel shop that works on all diesels from bulldozers to lawnmowers, we do alot of dodges & powerstrokes, Looking through the books, we have sold 11 injectors for the 3rd gens since jan 1, all but 1 failed in the #5 or #6, Mostley 5. I Hope this helps
