Anyone have any tips on how to get frozen injector retaining nuts off without turning the injectors in the head? I've been doing it by the book, but mine don't want to budge. I've picked the seals out from around the nuts and they're soaking in Aero Kroil now.

Wow, I've done plenty of 12V injectors but never had that problem. The injectors are turning in the head? If that's the case then either the alignment ball on the injector or its mating groove in the head must be damaged :(.

Sounds like you're already trying what I would. I suspect you're going to have a hard time getting these pulled out once the nuts are off.
Sorry I don't have a good answer for you.

I created a crowfoot by cutting the end off a 15/16" socket and doing a little welding. Then I modified a 15mm socket to hold the injector in place. These tools got the #2 off. 3-6 came off real easy. The injectors on 2-6 pulled out very easily as well.
#1 broke the welds on both tools while trying to get the retaining nut off. The #1 injector has spun a little bit in the process, maybe an 1/8th of a turn. I'm still soaking the #1 with penetrant and getting ready to weld my custom sockets back together. I'll try again tonight. I was thinking about using some of that CRC Freeze-off and seeing how that does....

Probably not a bad idea to pull injectors at least once every ten years to keep this from happening, ugh.

Finally got it off with no damage to the head or injector.
What it took: 5+ days of soaking in aerokroil, a lot of tapping, 5 attempts at breaking it free and failing, an old chisel, an old 15/16 socket, an old 5/8 socket, a 15mm impact socket, a piece of scrap metal, some welding, a breaker bar, an impact gun and a buddy.

Had my buddy hold the breaker bar to hold the injector in place while I slowly added air pressure to the impact gun till the nut broke free. Here's a pic of the set up.

Now, if anyone has any directions for proper bore cleaning, bore brush use, I'd appreciate it. This will be my first time doing it.

Thanks!
